How to Recycle or Dispose of Ironing Boards

Ironing boards are typically made of a combination of metal and fabric. When it comes to recycling or disposing of an ironing board, there are a few options to consider:

  • Reuse or donation: If your ironing board is still in usable condition, consider donating it to a local charity or second-hand store. Many people are in need of affordable household items, and your ironing board could find a new home.
  • Recycling: If the metal frame of the ironing board is recyclable in your area, you can dismantle it and take it to a recycling facility. Check with your local recycling program to see if they accept metal household items.
  • Landfill: If you are unable to reuse or recycle your ironing board, it will need to be disposed of in the landfill. However, please note that ironing boards can take up a lot of space in the landfill and are not biodegradable.
