Motor Oil Disposal

The best way to dispose of used motor oil is to take it to a recycling center or an auto parts store that accepts used oil for recycling. These facilities have the proper equipment to handle and dispose of the oil in an environmentally responsible manner.

If you are unable to bring the oil to a recycling center, you can check with your local government to see if they have a program in place for the proper disposal of used oil. Some communities may have drop-off points where you can leave the oil for recycling.

It is important to never pour used motor oil down the drain, onto the ground, or into a storm drain, as it can contaminate water sources and harm the environment.
